Partnership between Boorowa Community Landcare Group, North Sydney Bushcare and Hilltops Council, Building Bridges to Boorowa celebrates 25 years in 2024.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Building Bridges to Boorowa partnership between Boorowa Community Landcare Group, North Sydney Bushcare and Hilltops Council.

On Saturday, May 25, this milestone will be celebrated at Boorowa Ex-Services Club with a free dinner.

Boorowa Community Landcare Group have put out the call to Group members and anyone who has had any involvement with the Building Bridges to Boorowa program over its long 25-year history to invite them to attend.

If that is you and you would like to join in the festivities, phone Amber on 0419 239 492.

Bookings to attend the free event must be made by May 17 at https://events.humanitix.com/north-sydney-bushcare-dinner-2024/tickets.

Everyone is asked to arrive at the Boorowa Ex-Services Club at 6 pm for a 6:30 pm start.

Hilltops Council and North Sydney Council have sponsored the celebratory dinner.

Over the past 25 years, around 40 Bushcare volunteers from the city visit Boorowa in September annually to help landholders with revegetation projects.

Since the partnership began, more than 60,000 native trees, shrubs and ground covers have been planted on local properties.

Their work has helped reduce soil salinity and erosion, restored habitat, improved water quality and created wildlife corridors.
