Apply For Financial Assistance or Sponsorship

Hilltops Council has called for applications from community organisations seeking financial assistance or sponsorship for the period up to June 30, 2022.

Grants Officer Kara Highfield said there were two programs open for applications right now.

“We have the small scale infrastructure fund and the general fund for community groups for special events or programs,” Ms Highfield said.

“Then there’s the sponsorship program for not-for-profits.”

The small scale infrastructure fund is to assist organisations to provide infrastructure for their community or sporting group. Groups can apply to Council for funding up to a maximum of 50 percent of the cost of the infrastructure, with an upper limit of $5000.

The second fund is designed to assist community groups and organisations undertake special programs or events. Council will fund a maximum of up to 50 percent of the cost of the event or program.

The sponsorship program is designed for not-for-profit groups, organisations or individuals seeking to organise an event or activity within the Hilltops LGA that has demonstrable benefit to the community.

All applications, along with supporting information, must be submitted to Council on the prescribed forms available on Council’s website and at Council offices by 12noon Friday, April 22.

Round one of this program was delayed due to Local Government elections, so applications received in October last year will automatically be accepted into this round. New applications are welcome.

Hilltops Mayor, Margaret Roles, said the program acknowledged the groups that assist in building the social capital of our Hilltops.

“The Hilltops Council Financial Assistance and Sponsorship programs recognise the important contribution that community groups and organisations play in the development of our community,” Mayor Roles said.
