Australia Day Celebrations In The Hilltops Region

Australia Day in the Hilltops is well worth getting out and about and involved in. From Aussie breakfasts, to fishing competitions, there is something for everybody of all ages! We have put together the events and ceremonies in the Hilltops region for this Australia Day.

Young Carrington Park

Celebrations will kick off at 8am with the Rotary Big Breakfast. This will be followed by Entertainment performed by the Young Town Band. At 9am the official Australia Day ceremony will commence. This will include the Citizenship Ceremony, Australian Affirmation Ceremony and awards presentation.
This will be followed by a lolly scramble.

Harden – Murrumburrah Newson Park

At 8am the Breakfast will commence with entertainment by local musicians and singers. Followed by the official Australia Day Awards Ceremony.

Boorowa Boorowa Recreation Park
– Ambassador Susie Elelman, AM

The Lions Breakfast in the Park will commence at 8am. There will be a fishing competition, Face painting & Jumping castle and the CWA Devonshire Tea will also be served.
At 9:30 am – The Australia Day Official Ceremony will commence with awards being announced.
11:00am Fishing competition presentation.
11:15am Rotary rubber duck races.
12:30pm Lunch with the Ambassador:

Wombat Wagenbah Oval

Commencing from 10am – There will be all day activities including: Tractor pull, Markets, Sausage sizzle, Raffle, Antique engines, Vintage cars. At 10:30am there will be an Awards presentation. At 12pm the street parade and Kids bike decoration will
commence.
