The Boorowa Community Landcare Group (BCLG) will have a special guest speaker at their Annual General Meeting (AGM) in November.

Kate MacMaster is a scientist, environmentalist, business owner and mother and will share her passion for social inclusion, women in leadership and community development.

In 2016, Kate was one of the first cohort of 100 women to be involved with Homeward Bound - a fantastic opportunity for women involved in or working in STEMM - science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine - who deeply care about the planet. Kate will be lead facilitator on the 5th expedition to Antarctica in 2020.

Kate is a Board Member of WaterAid Australia (and Chair of the Policy and Advocacy Committee), the Programs Director at the Peter Cullen Water and Environment Trust, the Founding Director of Studio Wild Consulting and Founding Partner of Trader & Co, a social change collective empowering rural Australians to meet, share and create.

Kate will talk about women in rural Australia, climate change and being intentional with our lives to make a hopeful impact.

The dinner and Kate’s presentation are free to all BCLG members or $10 per person. Memberships for 2020 can be renewed at the door. Please RSVP with any dietary requirements to landcare@boorowa.net or call 0459 681 018.

The meeting will be held on Thursday the 14th of November at 6pm at the Boorowa Ex-Services Club.
