Members of the Rotary Club of Boorowa were joined by invited guests and volunteers of the Boorowa Community Op Shop recently to celebrate the Op Shop’s 2nd birthday.

The night was held at the Boorowa Hotel and was also an opportunity to distribute the surplus funds from the Op Shop sales. On hand to receive funds were representatives from a number of local charities who received a total of $10,000.

Since beginning operation two years ago, the Op Shop has given away $47,000 from sales in the shop. With Woolfest coming up, this is a good opportunity to support this very worthy cause in Boorowa. The shop will be trading Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Woolfest from 10am till 4pm each day.

For Woolfest, kids books will be on special at 20 cents each or 6 for $1 and adults jeans will be going out the door for $1 a pair. The Rotary Club of Boorowa are to be congratulated for establishing this very much needed service in the town and a very happy birthday to the Op Shop.

The Op Shop will always welcome new volunteers, so if you would like to join in and volunteer then please drop in and have a chat with the team any Thursday, Friday or Saturday.
