BWF Community Sponsorship Fund Open

The Bango Wind Farm (BWF) Community Sponsorship program provides funds or in-kind support to community organisations and/or events in the Yass Valley Shire and Hilltops Council areas.

The BWF Sponsorship Fund supports initiatives that strengthen our local community, through programs that make a positive and lasting contribution and enhance the region.

Key areas for the BWF Community Sponsorship Fund include:

  • Education and Training Initiatives;
  • Community Development Programs;
  • Health and Well-being; and
  • Environmental Initiatives. So far, over $20,000 has been distributed through both the Boorowa and

Yass areas to Community Groups and Schools that include:

  • St Joseph’s School
  • Rye Park School
  • Yass Valley and Boorowa Business Chambers
  • Carinya Court, Boorowa
  • Rye Park Showground
  • Boorowa Show (2020)
  • Yass Show (2020)

Lyn Diskon, Community Engagement for CWP Renewables is keen to encourage other community not-for-profit groups to apply for sponsorship.
