“Celebrate Our Community” BBQ

Boorowa Rotary hosted a free barbeque on Sunday the 20th of February at the Boorowa Recreational Park, the purpose of which was to welcome newcomers to Boorowa.
It’s hard to know exactly just how much the population has grown given the Census 2021 results won’t be released until the middle of this year, however, if housing sales are anything to go by, there are quite a few new faces around town.
In addition to residents old and new, those in attendance included Hilltops Councillor John Piper and his wife Sandi, Boorowa Rotary President Elizabeth Myburgh, Secretary Jenny Carter, Treasurer Sina Banks, Australia Day Award recipient and Rotarian Julie Poplin, representatives from Boorowa’s Ambulance team, and Boorowa Uniting Church’s lay preacher, Bronwyn Fickel.
All agreed that this worthy welcome initiative provides a great opportunity to welcome new friends and catch up with old (in tenure, not years!)
