Federal Grant Programs Now Open For Applications

Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor is advising Boorowa district community groups that new Federal grants programs are now open for applications. Boorowa has been successful previously in securing funding for solar panels on the Boorowa Hostel and for the Boorowa Men’s Den.

Applications for both the Stronger Communities Programme and Volunteer Grants are now open.

A Hume selection committee will assess applications of between $2,500 and $20,000 under Round 4 of the Stronger Communities Programme.

Round 4 of the Stronger Communities Programme aims to improve local infrastructure and provide essential community equipment.

“The Stronger Communities Programme is funding worthy local projects that bring our communities together and build participation and connection,” Mr Taylor said.

“Small capital projects can range from upgrading a community hall or sporting facility, building new bike paths, or providing equipment for a local community organisation.”

Applicants should contact Member for Hume The Hon Angus Taylor MP’s office with initial expressions of interest. Applications are open until Thursday 11 October 2018.

Please express your interest to the Hume Federal electorate office – local call 1300 301 826.

The 2018 Volunteer Grants are also now open, to help volunteer groups buy equipment such as laptops, pay fuel costs, train volunteers and improve their fundraising.

Applications for 2018 Volunteer Grants of between $1000 and $5,000 are open until Tuesday 18 September 2018. Applicants should apply directly via www.grants.gov.au.
