Ground application spraying of Blackberries along roadsides will also be undertaken. Traffic control and signage will be in place and motorists are asked to exercise caution.

Deputy Mayor Tony Wallace, General Manager Anthony O’Reilly and I participated in the NSW Local Government Annual Conference last week. There were several important and relevant topics covered and issues faced by regional Councils progressed.

The November Ordinary Meeting of Council was held last week. At this meeting, the Annual Report for 2019-20 was endorsed for submission to the Office of Local Government. The Annual Report enables us to formally record our achievements over the period and is an integral part of our commitment to open and accountable governance. The report provides an overview of our activities for the financial year and looks at our ability to operate sustainably into the future. While the National Cherry Festival is not running in its usual format this year, there are a number of very popular activities happening this weekend in place of the festival. Finally, as we head into the last weeks of the year, I encourage everyone to take care. Look after yourself and each other. This is a difficult time for many, please remember that help is available 24 hours, 7 days a week if needed. Beyond Blue 1300 22 46 36 Lifeline 131 114 Kids Helpline 1800 551 800
