With support from South East Landcare Resources, Boorowa Community Landcare Group and Hovells Creek Landcare Group invite you to attend this FREE (to Landcare Members) event to celebrate the local Landcare champions on Saturday 24th March 2018. The Buses will depart from Frogmore Hall and Yass at 11.00am, the buses will also pick up from Boorowa to take participants to properties around Boorowa and Hovells Creek to showcase landcare activities from the local area. The buses will then deliver people to the Frogmore Hall for the Awards Dinner at 6.30pm. After the dinner the Buses will drop dinner attendees back to Boorowa and Yass. At the dinner the Landcare Awards will be presented by Hon Angus Taylor, MP Member for Hume, NSW. There will also be a guest speaker – Dr Damon Oliver who is the Senior Team Leader of the Ecosystems and Threatened Species Team of the Office of Environment and Heritage in Queanbeyan. He has been involved in research and recovery of threatened species since 1990 in SA and NSW, with a particular interest in woodland birds in rural landscapes. He is thrilled to see Boorowa Community and Hovells Creek Landcare receive funding
to help achieve great outcomes for the Superb Parrot.
The South East Landcare support project is part of the $25 million of National Landcare Program that Local Land Services is delivering to boost farm gate productivity and improve environmental health across NSW.
