Donations are still rolling in for the ‘Lets give it to the farmers’ fundraiser held in Jugiong last weekend.

Close to $4000 was raised at the event, with donations still coming and raffle prizes generously donated back to be raffled off again.

Buddy Goode had everyone in stitches with his comedic act, while donating not only his time but also money from the sale of his CDs on the day.

Local sweetheart Orca won the Junior mechanical bull ride and 16 year old Joey Robinson took out the Open mechanical bull ride with the longest ride of 1 minute 29 seconds.

People from far and wide came for the event, with people stopping to refuel on their way to the coast calling in to see what was happening and staying for the weekend. Local families, farmers, friends, campers and random stop overs, all there had a great day out.

The family farm animals at the Jugiong Motor Inn were a big hit with not only children but adults alike.

Rock and roll band The Roll kindly donated their time to perform on the day.

Big shout out to Wayne Oxford Construction who came on board early donating $1000 to the cause and The Jugiong Motor Inn who not only hosted this awesome day but also donated $1000 to the cause.

The event was organized by Michele Delaney from The Roadhouse on Riverside wanting to raise money to help farmers suffering in the drought currently crippling eastern Australia. All money raised from the event will be going to the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners who deliver donated hay to drought affected farmers. The Burrumbuttock Hay Runners were chosen as they are all volunteers and all money goes towards hay and fuel for the trucks.
