Chance to work with a global brand inspires Maryanne

Together with her husband, Maryanne Harrison owns and operates McDonald’s in Young, Parkes and Forbes. After becoming Licensees of McDonald’s Young in September 2011, they jumped at the chance to take over as Licensees for Parkes and Forbes in August 2016.

Apart from the fact that McDonald’s is a family restaurant that has barista coffees and a diverse range of menus, she said the drive for the business comes from offering “superior customer service, convenience and always delivered with a smile.”

The passion for Maryanne to be involved with this global franchise is to be involved in the community and to offer employment opportunities with further education and development through formal qualifications such as traineeships, certificates and diplomas. She is proud to have worked with a variety of people who have stayed in the organisation and earn qualifications and have been given the opportunity to travel and network.

It’s also a pleasure to work with teenagers starting their first job and then seeing them further their studies and careers, she said. Also a full time Mum of three children, she’s proud they have been raised in a community like Young.

Maryanne is also a board member of Ronald McDonald House Wagga Wagga.

“It is important to provide a home away from home for families with sick children from regional areas,” she said.

Along with this, she is also an ambassador for Ronald McDonald House Orange.
