Murringo PS kids take in Science Space and Energy at Wollongong University.

Day 1 - Murringo PS kids take in Science Space and Energy at Wollongong University. They blasted through the solar system visiting Pluto (Dwarf planet), Uranus, Saturn and Earth. Took in the constellations and spotted the shooting stars. They learnt about energy and its various forms with experiments that made their hair stand on its end and blasts that made us all jump. We finished the day with dinner, a swim and run around before bed. Bring on Day 2!

Murringo Public School Surfer KidsLearning to surf

Day 2 - Our surfer students today learnt how to read the surf, how to tell if there are rips in the water, how to identify the different flags on the beach and what to do if they are in trouble in the water. They then learnt how to surf, with many of them standing up on their boards within minutes. They were very determined and were knocked down so many times but never gave up. The evening was spent ten pin bowling before enjoying ice cream and bed. Goodnight!

Day 3 - We took on the heights of the Illawarra Fly Tree Top Walk. It was a bit out of our comfort zone, being so high amongst the tree tops and seeing how far it was to the ground below. We tackled it and came out the other side. Time to head home and maybe catch some z's as we travel.
