Playing Ditch Weight

There has been no play at the Bowling Club during the past week. The consistent rain, particularly on Thursday, led to the greens being closed.

The only results to report this week concern the Division 3 Pennant side who travelled to Wagga on Saturday morning to play against the side from Wagga Rules.

The overall result was 54–52 in favour of Wagga Rules.

Young has now lost both Pennant games played by 2 shots.

Individual game results (skips names only) were David Quigley lost to David Streher 13–17, Damien Miller defeated John Harriott 26–13 and Geoff DeBritt lost to Nick De Bruyn 13–24.

Young’s next game in this competition is scheduled for Sunday 14th August at Young against Cootamundra Ex–Services.

Games in the Club Singles Championship are set down to be played on Saturday.

Information concerning a Men’s Pairs tournament to be held at the club during September is on the notice board.
