Playing Ditch Weight

Club Singles final an outstanding match.
On Saturday last, the Club Singles final was decided. Damien Miller and Harold Anderson produced a very keenly contested match with the game close throughout. Damien lead 28 to 21 towards the final few ends of the game, however Harold produced some outstanding bowls to draw level. The match lasted 40 ends. The skill by both players was outstanding. Harold won on the 40th end with a result of 31 shots to 29. Congratulations to Harold and well played Damien.

Jackpot bowls on Saturday playing for the Patterson Bros sponsored vouchers. The winning pair of Albert Carter and Scott Douglas won with a margin of 19 shots.

On Thursday June 6th, 20 players contested the Jackpot afternoon bowls. 5 games of pairs, the winners for the day with a margin of 12 shots, Albert Carter and Joe Bargwanna.

Upcoming events for the Young Bowling Club. Entries will be available this weekend for the Club Triples, check the noticeboard for details.

The 1st round of two rounds of the BPL Cup will be held at the Young Bowling Club on Sunday the 23rd of June. This event of three or four players is a first for the Young Club. Details on the noticeboard.
