How long have you lived in the Hilltops region?
All my life. 46 years. Most of it in Wombat but now in Young.
What do you do for work? I was a teacher and then a teaching principal. 8yrs teaching at Young Public. 1yr Teaching principal at Galong.1yr Assistant Principal Murrumburrah Public School, 3yrs teaching principal at Greenethorpe Public School and 8yrs teaching principal at Wombat Public school (the school I attended as a child). I’m now retired and enjoying being a stay at home mum to my 8yr old daughter and 7yr old twin sons.
What do you love most about your job? My now job, I enjoy the peace of mind doing what I need to do for my own children. Enjoying seeing them grow up.
You get to go on a holiday anywhere in the world. Where would you go and who would you take with you? I’d love to go to Scotland and I’d take my partner Keith.
What do you do in your spare time, or as a hobby? I’m an active member of the Young Theatre Company and the Hilltops Choir.
How do you usually start your day? With my children fighting. Sigh.
What job would you be terrible at? A police officer. I hate confrontation.
How do you like your coffee? Left in the jar! It smells like foxes!
What makes your day? When my children tell me they love me and an evening watching a good movie with Keith.
If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time? Get more organised! Write my memoirs. Finish off all my photo books in yearly order. Enjoy meals with friends and travel!
If you could have dinner with any 3 celebrities, who would you invite? Colin Firth, Ricky Ponting and Kit Harrington.
