A Christmas Tree Festival is a wonderful way of drawing the community together as has been seen in other churches through out the world.
This year, St John’s are going to have another Festival of the Christmas Tree during the Young Cherry Festival weekend, 30th November – 2nd December.
Members of the Young community are invited to participate in the Festival with your business, craft group, school etc. You are invited to make/decorate a Christmas tree that may reflect your business. It might be a live tree, real, steel, artificial or creatively devised. The Christmas tree can be traditional, beautiful, inspiring or amusing.
Decorations can be bought or handmade.
Local organisations, service clubs, businesses, clubs, schools, craft groups, Council, churches, faith groups, families and private individuals are all encouraged to be part of this exciting community event.
A laminated A4 sized “Tree Sign” that identifies you or your organization will be included on your tree.
St John’s Church will be open for the viewing of trees from 2pm to 7pm each day. Light refreshments will be available each day and evening.
Trees can be delivered between 9am and 4pm on Thursday November 29th. Trees can be collected Monday – Wednesday after the weekend.
