The Arts Centre Cootamundra is a community built, organised and controlled arts facility. It exists to provide a venue and facilities for Arts activities such as exhibitions, live music performances, plays cabaret, movies and workshops.
Their production of “Aladdin and his wonderful magical lamp” starts this weekend. it is a pantomime production where you will be taken on a magic carpet ride complete with a monkey, a dragon, three genies and a cast of merchants, an executioner and some serious royalty! Not to mention a villain and his equally nasty sister! Tickets are on sale now go to https://www.stickytickets.com.au. The Khaya will provide tapas and drinks at a cost before performance on Saturday 7th April.
The production will run from 6th, 7th, 12th & 13th April at 7pm and 8th April at 2pm. On the 14th April at 6pm there will an Ottoman Dinner ($20pp), with the performance beginning at 7:30pm. For dinner tickets book through TACC office 6942 4773 or firstname.lastname@example.org
TACC also has Visual Arts programs to suit everyone. Such as the Dabble Day on the first Thursday of each month where you can try an art form. Then there are weekly friendship groups for pottery, art and printing. Monthly friendship groups for glass and silk dyeing. On 17th and 18th May there is the Ripple Effect partnership with Murmuration for people with and without a disability. There is also the major event “Local Unlimited” featuring a social media workshop on 25th May and 26th May.
