Tipperary Golf Club

Thursday stroke event was won by Nigel Willett and Max Hardman runner up. Sunday was a stableford event and also the beginning of the clubs match play event. Winner of the stableford was Robert Norton with 45 points to Fred Hiskens 42 points.

In the match play Fred Hiskens defeated Max Hardman and Pat Hewen defeated David Jassprizza. But the match of the day was between Don Hardy and Geoff Nott.

Geoff was three holes up after nine holes, so a major comeback had to happen for Don, which occurred with Don winner three of the next four holes to square the match and then to take the lead to the next hole. Don then keep on winning holes with only one little hiccup on the 16 th hole to take the match on the 17 th hole winner by being 2 up with one to play. This match was played hard, fair and in very good spirit.

A reminder that Tipperary open day is next Sunday the 16th May a 2 person Ambrose costing $15 per player with lunch provided and good prizes on offer.
