Tom Butt decided it was time for a haircut and what better way to do it than raising money for a cause close to his heart.
Following the Harden Hawks final game of the season, on Saturday night at the Carrington Hotel in Harden, Tom shaved his head to raise money for the Leukemia Foundation.
With an initial goal of $500 soon surpassed, Tom’s shave has so far raised over $4500 for the Leukemia Foundation, which is the only national charity dedicated to helping those with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood disorders.
The funds he raised will help provide practical and emotional support for those diagnosed and fund vital research that will save lives.
Tom said “It went really well with a few other boys stepping in and shaving too!”
