November 14 – Boorowa Community Landcare Group AGM
BCLG will be holding their AGM at 6pm at the Boorowa Ex-Services Club. Special guest speaker will be Kate McMaster.

November 15 – Take 5 on Friday – YRSM Flute Ensemble
Liz Boland from the Young Regional School of Music and her flute ensemble are back this Friday for another “Name that Tune” concert. Those who have attended similar presentations in the past know that for people who recognise the music, there’s a prize in the form of chocolate. 12.30-1pm. Young Library.

November 16 – Young & Region Farmers Markets
9am until 1pm at Anderson Park near the former railway station (Young Visitor Information Centre). BBQ and coffee available. Buy fresh straight from the producers. Local fruit, vegetables, plants, wine, honey, goats milk products and baked goods all on sale. November 16 – Maimuru Public School Open Garden Fundraiser
Maimuru Public School is holding an open garden fundraiser at ‘Cooloonga’ on McLaughlins Road at Thuddungra. A sausage sizzle, sandwiches, cold drinks, cakes and slices will all be available for purchase. Entry is $5 entry, children free. 10am-4pm.

November 17 – Handmade in Harden Murrumburrah Community Markets
Quality handcrafted goods from the Hilltops region will be in abundance at the Handmade in Harden- Murrumburrah Community Markets to be held on the third Sunday of every month at the Murrumburrah Courthouse from 9am to 2pm.

November 17 – Young Regional School of Music: Pictures At An Exhibition
Pianist John Willems plays Moussorgsky’s monumental masterpiece Pictures At An Exhibition. 2.30pm for 3pm start. Entry is $5 adult, $2 concession.

November 20 – Scam Protection and Awareness Information Session and Morning Tea
Young Meals on Wheels and Community Transport are holding a Scam Protection and Awareness Information Session and Morning Tea at the Marie McCormick Building, 133 Main St, Young at 10.30am. Author Chris Hammer is heading for Hilltops Libraries for an In Conversation series to be held in Young. Chris Hammer is author of the best-selling book ‘Scrublands’. November 21 – Young Baptist Church Gingerbread House Evening
Young Baptist Church is holding their annual Gingerbread House Evening at 6.30pm. High quality kit and light supper are included. Tickets are $30 and available from Gary’s Gourmet Meats.

November 22 – Take 5 on Friday – Cherry Ripes
Hilltops University of the Third Age ukulele group, The Cherry Ripes, make their debut at Young Library. The group, under the tutelage of Norma McLennan, have been practising all year and have learnt a wide range of songs. 12.30-1.30pm.

November 22 – YCAC and Hilltops Hub White Ribbon Day Event
Young Crisis Accommodation Centre and the Hilltops Hub are holding a White Ribbon Day event at Anderson Park. There will also be a walk at 9.45am from the corner of Boorowa & Clarke St (located at Rivers) up the Main Street then around to Anderson Park. Rapid Relief Team is proudly supporting the cause by putting on a free BBQ with donations welcome. 9.45am-2pm.

The opening of the exhibition and a cocktail party will be held on the 22nd of November. The featured artist is Kyah Wilson. The Mobile Blood Service will be visiting Harden on Tuesday the 3rd of December between 9.30am and 2.30pm. It will be on the corner of East St and Albury St, next to the tennis courts.
