March – Take 5 on Friday – POSTPONED
Young Library’s Take 5 on Friday concert series is one of the events that have been put on hold for the present due to concerns around the spread of COVID-19. The concerts will return to the regular Friday 12.30pm to 1pm event schedule as soon as it is possible. The library thanks the performers and audience members whose participation has resulted in over 110 concerts hosted at the library in the past two and a half years, with over 3000 audience attendances.
March – Boorowa Community Op Shop Summer Clothing Sale
For the month of March, summer clothing will be $5 a bag at the Boorowa Community Op Shop. Shoes will be $1 a pair.
March – Little Saints Playgroup – CANCELLED
In light of what is happening at the moment with Covid-19 virus, St Mary’s wishes to advise that Little Saints Playgroup will be cancelled until further notice.
March 28 – Boorowa Makers and Growers Community Market
You will find food, craft and products grown, made and prepared by local people. The Old Court House grounds in Marsden Street.
March 28 – Young Hospital Auxiliary’s 90th Birthday Celebration – POSTPONED
Young Hospital Auxiliary is postponing the 90th birthday celebration and plan a similar function late in the year. Refunds are available by return of tickets to M&M’s. Please claim refunds by the 9th of April.
March 28 – Boorowa Gun Club March Competition – POSTPONED
Boorowa Gun Club have cancelled the upcoming March shoot due to the increasing risk from the coronavirus pandemic to both competitors and volunteers who have to handle cash, serve food and interact with visitors to the Club. At this stage, practice has also been cancelled.
April 1 – Young Garden Club Meeting
The Young Garden Club meeting will be held at the Catherine McAuley Centre, commencing at 7pm. Everyone is invited to come as a guest and share information. Friendships through gardens and delicious supper in a relaxed atmosphere. For information, contact Joy 0415 246 680 or Moya 0413 853 642.
April 4 – Young & Region Farmers Markets – NO MARKETS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
9am until 1pm at Anderson Park near the former railway station (Young Visitor Information Centre). BBQ and coffee available. Buy fresh straight from the producers. Local fruit, vegetables, plants, wine, honey, goats milk products and baked goods all on sale. The Young Pony Club has postponed their show jumping, dressage Saturday and gymkhana until later in the year.
April 7 – Easter Egg Hunt and Hat Parade – CANCELLED

April 18 – Ann Gilbert Small Life Study Workshop
Join Ann Gilbert for techniques and tips using pastel, pan pastel and coloured pencil on pastel mat paper (available for purchase on the day). Subjects will be birds, animals and pets. Bring your own photos if you like or Ann will supply some. Bring any pastels & pencils that you have and Ann will have other materials to trial. Tickets $40. 9.30am-4pm. Old Murrumburrah Courthouse.
