December – Wrap With Love
Is a group of knitters who knit squares 10 inches by 10 inches and make them into wraps or just to have a chat. Also if you would like to donate 8 ply wool or synthetic would be much appreciated. 10am-12pm every Wednesday at the Services Club in Young. Contact Patty on 0487 762 126 for more info.
December – Boorowa Community Garden Summer Times
The new summer gardening times for the Boorowa Community Garden are Tuesday and Sunday starting at 10am. Volunteers for watering also welcome. Lots of veges are being planted and welcome others to join. For more info, phone David Evans on 6385 1109.
December 20 – Christmas Movie Night
Young Police will be holding a Christmas movie night at St Mary’s Primary School at 6pm. The movie being screened is The Polar Express. The hall will be air conditioned and a sausage sizzle ($2 sandwich) will be running raising money for the PCYC.
December 21 – Young & Region Farmers Markets
9am until 1pm at Anderson Park near the former railway station (Young Visitor Information Centre). BBQ and coffee available. Buy fresh straight from the producers. Local fruit, vegetables, plants, wine, honey, goats milk products and baked goods all on sale. December 21 – Boorowa Makers and Growers Community Market
You will find food, craft and products grown, made and prepared by local people. The Old Court House grounds in Marsden Street.
December 22 – Combined Churches Carols by Candlelight
Bring your chair, blanket, candle and best singing voice and join everyone for a great family night at the Combined Churches Carols by Candlelight in Young. There will be a variety of acts and lots of community singing. Santa is also expected to attend. Lions will have a barbecue before the Carols start. Games will be held before the singing for the young ones. 6-11pm. Carrington Park.
January 8 – Lego Fun at Harden Branch
Come to build and play with Lego at Harden Library. Lego provided. For people 5 years and up. Children under 8 to be accompanied by responsible person over 16 years. 11am-12.30pm. Harden Library.

Live Better Family Connections will facilitate a Lego builders fun activity session at Young Library. Building blocks will be available for a range of age groups. All children to be accompanied by person over 16. 10.30 -11.30am. Young Library.

January 26 – Jugiong Motokhana Interstate Challenge
The Renault Car Club of Australia Inc. will be staging an Interstate Challenge at the Jugiong Recreation Ground. See drivers test their vehicle’s agility and their skills and judgement as a driver. Considered to be entry level to motor sport, motorkhanas are cheap to compete in and highly enjoyable and competitive.
