September 19 – Australian Reading Hour
Take the time to chill out and read. Head down to your local branch and find something new to read. Share a book with someone. Hilltops Council Library.

September 20 – Take 5 on Friday – Vicki Walsh and Alex Winnell
Take 5 welcomes back to the stage two key performers of the concert series, Vicki Walsh and Alex Winnell. The pair, both experienced performers on the country circuit, will team up for a rendition of some well know duets. The concert is free and everyone is welcome. 12.30-1pm. Young Library.

September 21 – Walk with Panky Panda for Pancreatic Cancer
Walk for hope with Panky Panda down the main street of Young from 9am collecting donations for pancreatic cancer research, then back to the Criterion Hotel for lunch and live music all afternoon. There will be a bus from Binalong to Young and back again. Dress up in purple for Joan’s Wish and the Pancare Foundation.

September 21 – Young & Region Farmers Markets
9am until 12pm at Anderson Park near the former railway station (Young Visitor Information Centre). BBQ and coffee available. Buy fresh straight from the producers. Local fruit, vegetables, plants, wine, honey, goats milk products and baked goods all on sale. September 21 – Foodies Night Markets Young
Food and dessert stalls, retail stalls, beer and wine, kids amusements and live music. Free parking onsite. $2 entry per person. 4-9pm. Burrangong Picnic Race Club – Toompang Racecourse.

September 22 – 2019 Mercy Walk for Women
The 7th Mercy Walk for Women is 23km from Boorowa to Galong. The fundraising charity event raises funds for Karinya House. Register at the Karinya House website https://karinyahouse.asn.au/events/

September 22 – Puppet Making Workshop
Lead by Debra Clewer of Clewer Puppets, this 3 hour workshop is designed for school aged children 8 years and up. The workshop is normally priced at $45 per child. The Harden Murrumburrah Arts Council is providing a subsidy of $30 per attendee, making the price $15 per child. Payment due at time of booking. Bookings are essential and can be made by contacting Nicole Scott on 0427 864 320. 1-4pm.

September 26 – Carpe Diem
Carpe Diem is a comedic play with a serious message. Carpe Diem is a contemporary portrayal of every day Australian males dealing with issues of health, grief, loss and depression. It stresses the importance of professional care in time of crises and highlights the importance of mateship and looking out for each other. It is being performed by John Walker and Chris Pidd at the Wombat Memorial Hall. This event is a free event and you can collect tickets at the Wombat Hotel and at the door. 7pm for 7.30pm start. Wombat Memorial Hall.

September 26 – Cherry Blossom Garden Club Annual Plant Stall
Many varieties of plants will be for sale and also a raffle. Proceeds this year are going to Ronald McDonald House. From 8am. Outside Westpac Bank, Young.

September 27 – Take 5 on Friday – Wickham Lane
Take 5 on Friday celebrates 100 concerts with the group formerly known as Counterpoint, now known as Wickham Lane. The Library team extends a warm welcome to all performers and audience members over the past 100 concerts to return for a big celebratory concert and if you haven’t had the pleasure of Take 5 yet, do come along and enjoy this free concert held at Hilltops Council Young Library Branch in Lynch Street Young from 12.30pm to 1.00pm.

September 28 – Boorowa Makers and Growers Community Market
You will find food, craft and products grown, made and prepared by local people. The Old Court House grounds in Marsden Street.

September 28 – Gather, Jugiong
Experience anything and everything produced by regional artisan makers. The Gather, Jugiong market will run outside of the Long Track Pantry. Don’t miss out on this perfect day to grab yourself a treat. 9am-2pm. Long Track Pantry.
