“A Day for the Blokes” to be held on Friday evening from 6pm at the Boorowa Recreation Club Auditorium. Keynote speakers will include: Peter Wilkins (Wilko) Multi-media award winning Broadcaster and former ABC Sports Presenter; and Journalist, John (Stinker) Clarke from the ABC Radio Program “The Big Fish” and Sports Enthusiast. Boorowa Community Landcare will again be holding a Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop. Rob Fitzpatrick, retired horticulturalist from Harden, will be facilitating the workshop in conjunction with Boorowa Community Landcare. Boorowa Community Landcare Group is preparing for their 19th annual Bridges to Boorowa weekend. Volunteers from the North Sydeny Bushcare team will be coming to Boorowa for help local land managers plant trees. Landcare is looking for local land managers to: Have volunteers plant on their properties;
To assist Landcare by either doing some homemade baking, manning a BBQ or giving directions, towing a trailer or good old country hospitality.
