August 23 – National Camellia Show
In conjunction with the Hume Camellia Society, the Uniting Church Fellowship’s Young Camellia Spectacular will hold the 2019 National Camellia Show in Young. The official opening and presentations will be carried out by Member for Cootamunda Steph Cooke. A light lunch is available and camellia plants will be for sale. Uniting Church Hall. August 25 – Burrowa House Trivia Afternoon
Burrowa House are holding a trivia afternoon to help raise much needed funds to assist with the new building extensions. The trivia afternoon will begin at 12.30pm for a 1:00pm start. There will be tables of 8 but individuals are most welcome to help make up a table. Cost is $6.00 per person. Afternoon tea will be provided. A life size statue of Lt. Col. Kenneth Mackay will be unveiled at the Light Horse Memorial in Murrumburrah at 11am.
