September 21 – Take 5 on Friday
Some of the best music ever written came from Hollywood blockbuster movies and Liz Boland and her flute ensemble have been practising their favourites for another performance for Take Five on Friday at Young Library. This Young Regional School of Music tutor and students are highly skilled and have won acclaim with the Take Five audience. Bring along your lunch and relax listening to music. 9am to 2pm at the CWA rooms, Lovell St Young. Morning tea provided by CWA members. BBQ lunch provided by Young Army Cadets. Raffle prize made and donated by the Young Men’s Shed. September 22 – Organ Centenary Concert at the Ross Memorial (Uniting) Church
Commencing 2.00 pm. Three professional organists (Sydney, Crookwell and Canberra) plus the Hilltops Choir will provide a wonderful varied concert mirroring the first organ concert just over one hundred years ago. September 27 – Cherry Blossom Garden Club Plant Stall
The Cherry Blossom Garden Club will be holding a plant stall on Thursday 27th September outside Westpac Bank, starting from 8.00am. We will be donating the proceeds to the Young Motor Neurone Disease (MND) fundraiser. There will be a variety of plants for sale, and if any members of the public would like to donate a plant for us to sell, it would help us have a successful day.

Model and author, Jessica Grace, will be at Young Library to launch her book, “Exposing the Life Thief”. Supper will be provided.

September 29 – Bribbaree Annual Show
Come and experience an authentic country show at Bribbaree Showground near Young. Bribbaree’s annual show includes a range of activities such as horse events, pavilion exhibits, Dogs NSW show, Yard Dog trials, side shows, and food and produce stalls. The Riverside Markets is a showcase of local talent with an emphasis on homemade products and good. The markets run from 9am to 2pm outside of the Long Track Pantry and will prove to be a great day to get out of the house and head into Jugiong to grab yourself a treat!

October 6 – Burrangong Picnic Races
Saturday October 6th the Burrangong Race Club will host their annual race day. There will be 6 races on the day, the first one commencing at 1:15pm. Fashions on the Field is also back with some great categories and prizes which covers every age and style. Categories include: Best Dressed Child, Best Dressed Gentleman, Miss Burrangong, Most Outstanding Millinery and Lady of the Day. A jumping castle and an ice-cream van will also be there on the day for the kids to enjoy. The Boorowa Gun Club will be hosting a coaching clinic run by two time Olympic Gold medallist Michael Diamond. The Clinic will be held over two days weekend of 6th & 7th October at the Club on the Ballyryan Rd. November 18 – The Cherry Chase: Chase the Colour
The Cherry Chase: Chase the Colour is a community event organised by the Youth Council and Young PCYC. The Cherry Chase has a five kilometre and 10 kilometre option and the Colour Run is 4.5 kilometres. This is going to be one bright, sweaty community event that you don’t want to miss.
