A crowd of around 4000 were treated to live music, food vendors, children’s entertainment and an inflatable jockey and horse for photo opportunities.
This year a new event was introduced and was such a success there are already plans to make it part of the annual event.
The Footrace had 3 categories: Male, Female and Junior.
All were hotly contested with Harry Anderson winning the Male race, Malayah Burgess winning the Female race and Charlie Beal winnin the Junior race.
There were 5 horse races, with joint winners awarded the Harden Cup as they were unable to be separated.
The Fashions On The Field had a prize money total of $3200 and a new category of Local of the Day which was exclusive to Hilltops residents.
There were record numbers of sponsorships, marquees, tables and tickets sold for the VIP After Party.
There were 3 lots of live music, with Chad Croker in the Hillside bar from 3pm to 6pm and DJ Liv on the verandah from 4pm until 7pm.
Stewart Barton and his band then played at the VIP After Party.
$2000 was donated to CanAssist, giving back to the community.
