The Harden Kite Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this Saturday, when the kites once again take to the skies.

The Festival program is packed with entertainment, activities, exhibits and displays, ensuring there is something for everyone.

Free activities include the public kite flying area, badge & kite making, face painting, petting zoo and sand pits.

The official opening will take place at 11am on the main stage with the Festival taking place from 10am to 4pm.

Harden Kite Festival Committee President Kat O’Connor said, “It is shaping up to be a really special day.”

“We have the free kite decorating again this year that will be inside the pavilion. We have fabulous market stalls, a bubble fairy, a petting zoo, the Fire and Rescue guys will be there cutting up a car to show how they get people out, RFS, SES and Black Dog Ride are all attending.”

“Tons of food vans and this year we have the dodgem cars, teacups, bungee trampolines, jumping castles, a big inflatable slide plus the Kapooka Army Band as well as the Prosperous Mountain Lion Dancers are both coming back!”

The Festival is on this Saturday at the Harden Racecourse. Entry is by $2 donation at the gate.
