Amazing First Year For Junior Harden Red Devils

Who would have thought that a team that didn’t even exist last year, could not only grow so rapidly in number in such a short time, but could end the season winners? That is exactly what has happened with the Junior Harden Red Devils.
The kids played their hearts out last weekend to take home the win 26 - 19 on their home turf.
Following the hype of the win on the day, the kids from the U10s team were permitted to attend school on Monday attired in their team kit for Mad Monday.
Junior Harden Red Devils President Jer
emy Martin said a big thank you to the boys and girls who played.
“You all played amazing,” Martin said.
“You’ve been a very good team all year and you deserve the win.”
The Junior Harden Red Devils came about as a dream - Cooper Martin’s dream of playing rugby with his mates.
His dad helped him make it happen.
Very quickly, the non-existent team became three teams, with 50 other kids.
Martin thanked volunteers and families who chipped in to help out on game days.
Thanks also went to the Council and Simon Glover for getting posts in and getting the fields in A1 condition for Rugby.
The other age groups within the Red Devils, who not only played during the year, but ran water, kept everyone motivated and supported the players on Grand Final day.
Thanks went to coaches, sponsors and the Harden Murrumburrah Junior League who loaned equipment for the grand final game.
The support from the entire town of Harden was a huge support to the kids.
