Amber Martin - Urban Retreat

Amber Martin was given a chance to lease a building on Lynch Street, Young. Other people may have thought twice about the opportunity that lay before her, but a year and a half later, Amber couldn’t be happier with her decision.

Starting in September 2019, Urban Retreat is a family-oriented, fully-renovated venue, offering modern Australian food, an entertainment area and toddler playground.

Perfect for parties, functions and a range of other special occasions, Amber and her partner have worked hard to make their venue the ideal place to enjoy gatherings and create special memories with friends and family.

They also hold a liquor licence with an extensive beverage bar, perfect for that great night out.

Up until Amber and her partner started Urban Retreat, she was a full time Mum of four kids and wanted the challenge of running her own business. This is only possible with the support of her family.

“My family are incredibly supportive,” Amber says.

“They always tell they’re friends to pop in when travelling through and often share our posts.

“My mum offers to take the kids over the holidays for a few nights or stays with us and watches them when we have big functions on.”
