There is something about creativity that draws people in. This year, as part of the Hilltops Off The Beaten Track program, artworks by members of the Harden Art Group will be on display at the Old Murrumburrah Court House from 11am to 2pm from Monday to Friday, March 13 to 17 and Monday, March 20.

Many of the works will also be available for purchase, but the really exciting part of this event is the fact that artists from the group will be on site.

Not only will you be able to ask them questions about their work directly, you may even be fortunate enough to watch them as they work to create a new piece.

The group has promised a variety of styles and techniques will be included in the exhibition, so there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Entry to the exhibition is totally free and bookings are not necessary. Harden Art Group has been meeting at the Old Murrumburrah Court House for over 20 years.

They’re an informal bunch who meet each Monday from 11am to 3pm.

Everyone is welcome, just take along your own materials to work with and lunch to eat and enjoy working and sharing ideas, techniques and talents in a friendly, supportive group setting.

The Harden Arts Council will hold its annual Competitive Exhibition in October.

Artists from everywhere are invited to exhibit.

Thanks to generous support from the Kruger Trust, Bendigo Bank and a number of local businesses, the competition offers a nice prize purse.
