Boorowa Central School Set for Education Week

Education Week provides time to reflect and celebrate the quality educational opportunities that children and adults have access to here in Australia.

In NSW, Education Week is an annual celebration of the NSW public education system and the achievements of schools and students. This year the theme for Education Week is “Creating futures: education changes lives”, and we only have to look around town to see this motto in action.

Boorowa Central School is planning a cavalcade of events to celebrate Education Week, and is inviting parents and carers to come along and join in:

Monday, 25th July 2022, 10am:
Education Week Assembly and BBQ lunch (please RSVP by calling the School on 6285 3009).

Tuesday, 26th July 2022, 9:30am:
Smoking Ceremony and Welcome (held in the Primary quadrant).

Wednesday, 27th July 2022:
Book fair for student/parent purchasing
10am Years 7-12 Math Amazing Race (Hall)
11am light refreshments for parents/carers
11:40am Years 3-6 Maths Challenge (5/6 classroom).

Thursday, 28th July 2022:
11am light refreshments for parents/carers
11:40am K-Yr12 Informal Assembly (Hall)
Short story writing competition
Book parade (dress as your favourite character)
Book fair for student/parent purchasing.

Friday, 29th July 2022:
11am light refreshments for parents/carers
11:40am Academic Challenge (Years 7-12 vs staff)
12:40pm Years 3-6 Spelling Bee (Library).
