Boorowa Court House

Crafty creations in Boorowa

The local and very long lived Boorowa Court House Arts & Crafts Co-operative, with Magistrates Tea Room, has been the focus of many women of Boorowa over the last 27 years. They are privileged to be housed in the historical Courthouse building in Marsden Street, Boorowa which was opened in 1886.

The impressive range of arts and crafts are locally made with love. Knitted or crocheted items like beanies, scarves, bootees, matinee jackets, children and adult jumpers are stocked and available all year round. There is a range of jams, pickles, chutneys, slices, cakes and sweets made with local fresh fruits and vegetables. Honey is also available.

The country charm of the Magistrates Tea Rooms makes a break or taking a ‘cuppa’ a real pleasure. Light snacks and their well known Devonshire Teas are available. Scones are delicious and served with beautiful jam and whipped cream.

The friendly members are here to assist visitors in the best way possible. The craft shop supports local charities, schools and events in Boorowa. The Boorowa Court House Arts & Crafts is a wonderful avenue for local women (and men) to come and be social and to showcase the excellent quality of goods that they make.

For the weary traveller this is an oasis of relaxation and is open from 10am to 5pm, seven days a week. Wi-Fi and Eftpos are available.
