Boorowa Hospital Auxiliary July Update

Boorowa Hospital Auxiliary held their AGM in July, electing office bearers for the new financial year.
The new office bearers are:
- President: Jenny Carter
- Vice President and Publicity Officer: Judy Ford
- Treasurer: Mardie Kearns
- Secretary: Deb Rheinberger
The AGM and following July monthly meeting were well attended and followed lunch at the Court House Hotel.
Liane and Michael Preinbergs also attended the lunch and meetings.
Liane is the State Secretary NSW United Hospital Auxiliary and Regional Representative Riverina United Hospital Auxiliary.
Liane outlined the success of the NSW fundraising initiatives for 2025.
The combined Riverina Hospital Auxiliaries, of which Boorowa is a branch, raised in total $651, 629.21.
During 2025, Boorowa UHA, bought resources for Boorowa MPS to the value of $27,676.29. Purchases included:
- Hover matt lateral transfer $10,976.79
- ARJO head raise $7994.80
- TV’s for residential aged care residents $2,509.66
- Aspire mobile air chairs and footrests x 2 $6055.04
- Rental for Big Springs cold water dispenser $140.00
On the agenda for the Hospital Auxiliary were a number of items.
The Boorowa Men’s Shed was commissioned to build picnic tables for the MPS, that are fit for purpose and can comfortably accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility aids and needs.
Ideas for future fundraising events were discussed, with suggestions welcome.
Lastly, the Boorowa Hospital Auxiliary is looking for new members.
Their fundraising supports our local Hospital and adds to the comfort and safety of the residential aged care residents.
