Have you heard of The Kindness Garden? It’s a ministry of St John’s Anglican Church, Queen Street East, and offers friendship along with tasty fruits and vegetables, with rhubarb, tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, and sunflowers all making a welcome summertime appearance.

In Term 1, The Kindness Garden will be open on Wednesday afternoons from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.

All welcome; however, children in Year 4 and under are required to be supervised by a parent or guardian.

It is also open on Saturday mornings from 9am to 10am for a time of prayer; if you can’t make it down but would like someone to pray for you, please leave a private message on the Facebook page to add your prayer to the list of prayer requests for the week.

If you’d like to pop down and don’t feel like praying, you are most welcome to come down and tend to the garden or just enjoy the surroundings.

Or pop on down at 10am for a chat with friendly folk once the prayer group has finished.

The Garden’s club house is likely to be up and running soon so that tea, coffee or a cold drink and maybe a biscuit or two will be on offer.
