Boorowa LHAC News

During the September meeting, the Boorowa Local Health Advisory Committee (LHAC) discussed updates on the projects they are currently engaged in.

The suggestion boxes made by the Boorowa Men’s Shed have been decorated by the residents from Boorowa MPS and are now ready to receive suggestions from the community.

There are 3 projects still in development:

• Mapping of AED sites around Boorowa
• Fridge magnets with contacts for health resources
• Compile and circulate information about Allied Health Services in Boorowa

There is also a proposed project for 2026 with Boorowa United Hospital Auxiliary. Boorowa LHAC and Boorowa UHA will partner to bring the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation’s skin cancer truck to Boorowa to provide free skin cancer checks for Boorowa residents.
