Great news - the Boorowa & District Historical Society Inc and Museum is celebrating the completion of the museum’s new floor.

The new floor has brought significant changes to the museum and provided more space.

Boorowa & District Historical Society Inc and Museum Secretary, Sharon Meere said the group was still working to restore the exhibit to its former glory and would open to the public this Saturday, August 5 from 11 am to 2 pm.

“If you would like to see the original printing machine in action, the museum will hold a printing demonstration at the same time,” Ms Meere said.

“The organisation is still looking for local newspapers that are no longer needed to complete the collection that is held at the museum.”

The group invites the public to drop in and take a look at the changes that have taken place during the museum’s closure.

After the museum closes at 2:30 pm, the organisation will hold a meeting for those interested in becoming part of the Boorowa & District Historical Society Inc and Museum.
