Boorowa & District Historical Society Inc and Museum was awarded the “Not-for-Profit” Business of the Year 2023 Award.

Secretary, Sharon Meere was delighted with the win.

“I wanted to say what an honour it was for us to be presented with the “Not-for-Profit” Business of the Year 2023 Award, sponsored by Boorowa IGA plus Liquor at the Community Bank Boorowa, Boorowa Excellent Awards on Saturday, 3 June 2023,” Ms Meere said.

There has been a lot going on for the museum of late, but they have had to close their doors to the public until at least July 20.

They are, however, thrilled to announce that they are having some major work done to the kitchen and office during that time, including having new floors laid.

“As everything that was in these rooms is now in the main room, we are unable to open,” Ms Meere said.

“We do apologise for any inconvenience caused by this matter but we hope to open again as soon as possible.”
