The Boorowa Rugby Club has purchased a defibrillator for use at games and by the Boorowa community at large.

The defibrillator was bought from Red Cross Training with the help of a grant from the Department of Sport.

A training session was held on Saturday the 17th of August, where members and players were instructed in the use of the machine.

The Club will have the defibrillator on the sideline for every game (home and away) during the season. It will be stored in a central location during other times, making it available for the Boorowa community if required.

President Justin Fleming commented, “The Boorowa Rugby Committee had been discussing the advantage of a defibrillator and we are very grateful to the Dept of Sport for the grant which made the purchase possible. We feel it will be an asset not only to the Club, but to the Boorowa community.”
