Boorowa’s Christmas Spending Spree Is On!

Boorowa Christmas Spending Spree 2021 has begun. This is the third year the Boorowa Business Chamber has held this event, and this year a record 42 businesses in Boorowa are participating.

As was the case last year, the Hilltops Council have contributed funds to the cause, which has allowed for advertising and the production of posters.

A further special thank you goes to Karen Apps from the Ram and Stallion Hotel, Garrett Robinson and staff from the Boorowa Ex Services and Citizen’s Club and Kim Blomfield from the Courthouse Hotel for providing the brightly coloured buckets that house entry forms at each shop.

Tickets have been distributed to all participating businesses and there is much buzz and excitement in the town about this wonderful event.

All shoppers have to do is purchase an item from one of the participating businesses to enter the draw, which closes on Thursday the 16th of December.

The winner will be drawn at the Courthouse Gardens at 11am on Saturday the 18th of December. The winner will receive $4,200 to spend in Boorowa at any of the participating businesses.

Shoppers across Hilltops and visitors are strongly encouraged to buy local this Christmas season. As Angus Michell, President of the Boorowa Business Chamber, said, “Support those businesses that support local sporting teams, contribute to raffles and generally keep the town running.”
