Canowindra Hosts Star-Studded Songwriters Retreat This November

Canowindra will strike a chord this November as it welcomes some of Australia’s finest musical minds for a three-day Songwriters Retreat set to inspire, create, and connect.

Held at the picturesque Eddy’s of Canowindra from the 7th - 9th of November, the retreat promises an unforgettable weekend of creativity, mentorship, and collaboration for emerging and experienced songwriters alike.

This one-of-a-kind event brings together a powerhouse line up of acclaimed Australian songwriters, including the legendary multi-award-winning Allan Caswell, Matt Scullion, rising star Tyla Rodrigues, and Canowindra’s own Nerida.

With an astonishing 990 released songs and eight Golden Guitar Awards, Allan Caswell is a true icon of the industry.

Best known for his global hit “On the Inside”, Allan’s depth of experience and insight into the craft of song writing is unmatched.

Joining him is Matt Scullion, celebrated for his sharp storytelling and infectious melodies, and Tyla Rodrigues, is just back from the United States where she performed at CMA Fest and was hand picked by Jordan Dozzi to take part in the 2025 Nashville Songhub.

Tyla also joined Dylan Gossett on his Australian tour earlier this year, cementing her place as one of the country’s most exciting new voices.

Local talent Nerida rounds out the line up, bringing her heartfelt lyrics and regional perspective to the weekend.
