The Murrumburrah-Harden Community Garden will host award-winning landscape designer Glenice Buck on Friday, July 7.

Ms Buck has over 20 years in the horticulture and landscape industry and will share her knowledge of soils, fertilisers and how to create a little splash of colour using annual plants.

“Annuals are short-lived, so the type of soil and fertilisers that are used are important,” Ms Buck said.

“I talk about mulch, too. A lot of people don’t use mulch on their potted plants.”

Each participant will receive everything they need from a plastic pot and plants to soil and fertiliser. The aim of the free workshop is to create pops of colour using pots that can sit on your verandah and brighten up otherwise grey winter days.

Please RSVP your attendance to Rita O’Connor on 0407 227 140 by July 3 so that the organisers of the workshop can ensure sufficient supplies are available on the day.
