Combined Primary Schools Carnival in Boorowa

The annual Boorowa Combined Primary Schools Touch/Netball Carnival is being held at the Boorowa Showground this Friday.

There has been an overwhelming response from schools, with 432 teams nominated. Schools are coming from the surrounding towns of Young, Murrumburrah, Temora, Crookwell, Goulburn, Queanbeyan, Yass, Braidwood and Cootamundra, along with several primary schools from the ACT.

The Carnival continues to be the largest primary school carnival held in NSW and the ACT. The aim of the Carnival is for the children to participate and enjoy the day, playing netball or touch football with their peers and friends.

Due to the large number of cars and buses, Hilltops Council have employed SJC Traffic Management to control the traffic. There will be changed traffic conditions around the town to try and alleviate traffic congestion to the Showground.

Community volunteers are being called for to assist with car parking or work in the canteens. If you are able to assist please, contact either schools: Boorowa Central on 6385 3009 or St Joseph’s on 6385 3263.
