Capital Region Local Jobs Program is hosting a Community Connect Information Day in Young next month to bring vital support services and opportunities to the area.
The free event will be held at the Young Town Hall between 10.30am and 2.00pm on Thursday the 9th of October.
Support Officer Anne-Maree Clarke said, “Whether you’re looking for employment, training, mental health support or educational resources, this event has something for everyone.”
At the Community Connect Day, attendees can access information and guidance on a wide range of services, including:
- Identification services to help you get the documents you need
- Apprenticeships and traineeships to kickstart your career
- Youth programs to empower and guide young people
- Employment opportunities to connect you with local employers
- Training and education options to upskill and improve job prospects
- Work Development Orders sponsors for overcoming fines and debt barriers
- Mental health, drug and alcohol support services for those in need
- Driver’s Licence program to help you obtain your driver’s licence
“This event is a one-stop shop for community members and services to learn about available services, ask questions, and receive expert guidance.”
