Pharmacist David Hamblin believes it’s important to keep things simple when it comes to making changes to your health. David recommends the importance of changing at least one thing at a time so you can find success and make it part of your normal routine.
Make sure you make a plan and be realistic with your goals. One important ingredient is to involve others in your plans so you have someone else to support you, celebrate your successes and help when things get tough.
To get started, just choose one thing a week or even one thing a month to change, just something that will create good habits and help reduce bad habits.
He also advocates for focusing on what you can change, such as your diet and exercise habits and not worrying about the things that you can’t, like COVID, the weather etc.
David believes diet and exercise are the two most important things for your health, so taking steps to improve them will see overall health benefits. Today is still the best day to make a change.
