CWA Boorowa: Off with Flying Colours

After being in recess for 12 months, the CWA Boorowa Branch has recently been revived.

After seeing if there was any interest from other local ladies, a meeting was organised by Geraldine Gore, President of South West Group (of which Boorowa is a part), to see if we would be able to re-open the branch.

A number of women expressed their interest and a meeting was held at the Ex-Services Club on the 14th of September 2022 to elect a new committee.

We had a great turn out and are pleased to announce that Katey Collins was elected as the new President, Karen Smith as Secretary, and Jane Saillard as Treasurer.

Boorowa CWA Branch is currently working on various fundraising opportunities; Australia Day festivities, International Women’s Day, and Boorowa CWA’s Centenary event!

We are also looking at ways to help the residents of Burrowa House celebrate this Christmas season.

The CWA Boorowa Branch currently has 35 members with almost 100 people following along on our Facebook page.
