Diabetic Awareness and Alert Dog Program Community Event

Individuals, families, community groups, and their dogs are invited to come together for a meaningful morning in support of diabetic awareness. A special event dedicated to raising awareness of diabetes and the vital role of Diabetic Alert Dogs will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9:00am to 12:00pm at Big W. Take part in the interactive store window scavenger hunt! Search for hidden letters (such as “A”) in the windows of local stores and see if you can find them all. This activity is suitable for all ages. Don’t miss the Apple Game, which will also be held at Big W during the event. Bring your friends, family, and furry companions for a morning of games, walking, and awareness. Macarthur Legal Centre will be visiting the Hub on Wednesday November the 12th for their last visit in 2025. Macarthur Legal Centre is a government funded not-for-profit organisation that provides free legal advice, referrals and and assistance to people in Young and surrounds. Koorawatha Town Rural Fire Brigade Recruiting

The Koorawatha Town Rural Fire Brigade is looking to recruit new members so the brigade can continue to support their local community. Training and Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) is able to be provided to all new members when they join their local brigade.

End of Year Fellowship of Australian Writers Meeting Next Week

Lambing Flat Young Fellowship of Australian Writers will hold its last meeting for the year with its November 10th meeting. Focus for the month will be by member Hilda Fitzgerald. Writers and poets are welcome to come and see what the group has to offer. The venue is the Ibis Room at the Young Services and Citizens Club commencing at 5:30pm. Applications For 2025 Veteran Community Grants Program Now Open

Applications are now open for the 2025 Veteran Community Grants Program (formerly the Anzac Community Grants Program). Grants of up to $3,000 are available to support projects that:

  • Commemorate and educate NSW communities about the service and sacrifice of current and former military personnel.
  • Benefit the NSW veteran community through meaningful activities and initiatives.
