Dr Tonya Lemoh returns to the district to perform the second Silo Sounds concert for 2023 on Sunday, May 7 from 2pm.

The internationally renowned recital pianist will deliver a professional performance on the exquisite Yamaha S6X recital grand piano at the Ross Memorial Church, Murrumburrah.

Lemoh is equally at home in a formal performance setting as she is engaging with local kids in workshops to develop a love of music.

This Sunday afternoon concert features beautifully descriptive works from the Russian composer Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.

This is particularly apt as the recital is being held by Silo Sounds Inc in conjunction with the Harden Art Prize.

Lemoh will also play works by Haydn and Debussy to round out her program.

Organisers hope the new Sunday afternoon timeslot (rather than Saturday evening) will be attractive to more local folk and a big audience is anticipated to see the talent of such a wonderful pianist.

Everyone is invited to return to the church hall for local wine tasting complemented by a variety of gourmet cheeses and afternoon tea with all the usual delicacies washed down with tea and brewed coffee.

Everything is included with your ticket, which can be purchased via https://events.humanitix.com/silo-sounds-presents-tonya-lemoh-pictures-at-an-exhibition.

Tickets can also be purchased at the door, where an EFTPOS machine will be on hand. Adults - $35, concession $25, children free.
