Young’s annual Family Fun Duck Day was a huge success.

The weather put on a beautiful, warm day which encouraged over 400 people to go through the gate.

The donuts and BBQ were popular, as was the Duck Toss and the Base Zero Rock Climbing wall, even GJ Duck managed to get to the top of the wall.

Lots of families enjoyed jumping in the pool and joining in the races in the Olympic Pool. Many of the children had a great time in the Toddler, Mushroom and Olympic pools, catching ducks, racing across in the duck and spoon races as well as other games and winning lots of prizes.

Congratulations to the winners of the GJF Cup; Gypsy Smithers, Stacey McDonald and Gracie Rose. The ducks had a tough time getting across the pool with a bit of a breeze occurring, but they made it in the end.

The Georgina Josephine Foundation would like to thank everyone who contributed to the day - so many sponsors were very generous with their donations.

Thank you to major sponsors: Donges SUPA IGA Young; NRG Fitness; Pepe’s Ducks, Harden; South West Slopes Credit Union; CBN Building PL; Young Services Club; Tester Porter Services, Young; Hanson, Young; Harvey Norman, Young; Cherry City Jumping Castles; Young Aquatic Centre; Hilltops Council (Young).

A huge thank you to all the local and regional sponsors who donated goods and especially thank you to all the volunteers, some who travelled from Wagga, Canberra and Sydney to help for the day – it could not have been done without you.
