Erosion Control Field Day With Hovells Creek Landcare

There will be visits to three local sites as part of the day.
Hovells Creek Landcare Group (HCLG) is hosting a free erosion control field day.
The field day will showcase three sites on three nearby farms in the Reids Flat/Frogmore district that are part of HCLG’s current soil erosion control project.
The field day will include visits to two water retention sites and one with leaky weirs with landholders and construction experts on hand to explain how they did the work and why it was important.
Attendees will hear from landholders, excavator operators and landcarers about the difference the works have made to farm operations and to the ecology of local waterways.
The day will also include a delicious morning tea and a BBQ lunch.
The erosion control field day will take place next Saturday, the 15th of November from 8.30pm to 1pm.
This project is being funded by the NSW Government through its Environmental Trust.
