While there has been much bickering between the ladies in the beginning of Channel 7’s Farmer Wants A Wife, a ‘kissing pact’ has been created between those still remaining since the show started on July 4.

It has come into place after contestants Rachel and Andrew had a one-on-one date at Valley Fresh Cherries and Stonefruits.

The rendezvous aired on the show last week, following the filming last November.

Valley Fresh Cherries owners Kathy and Barisha Batinich said the filming was seamless.

[Rachel and Andrew] were lovely people,” Mrs Batinich said. “They seemed like a couple to be honest.”

Mr Batinich said the opportunity developed from when Miguel Maestre from The Living Room made a cherry pie in the packing shed for that Channel 10 cooking show.

In the episode, Rachel and Andrew go cherry picking and have a picnic. The picnic food was all locally sourced from Hilltops producers.

“It’s fantastic for the Hilltops and we will hopefully get an increase in tourists, and excellent exposure for our region,” said Mr Batinich.

Farmer Wants A Wife airs on Channel 7 and 7plus from Sunday to Wednesday.
