Free Child Car Seat Safety Check This Saturday

2 in 3 car seats are not used correctly. Make sure your child is safe with a free inspection by a Transport for NSW Authorised Restraint Fitter. You can have your child car seats and booster seats checked for safety and correct fit. Bookings are essential. Contact Todd Hardy on 6343 1058to secure your spot. 9am-1.00pm this Saturday at Robert’s Shark Tank Carpark.

Macarthur Legal Centre are visiting the Hub bi-monthly during 2025. Solicitors from Macarthur can advise on various legal issues including family law, child support, minor traffic matters, wills and guardianship, debts, fines and more. Available free for community members living in Young and surrounds. Call the Hilltops Community Hub on 6382 6328 for dates/bookings (drop in not available).

RSL Subbranch Latest Fundraising Efforts

RSL Subbranch Secretary Colleen Beckhaus said, “We would like to thank the Young community, our selling days raised $3535.38 profit over the 3 days selling. We thank everyone for their support, this will benefit our veterans and widows.” New members are always welcome. The next meeting for the Subbranch is Tuesday the 27th of May at the Federation Motel from 5.30 - 7.30pm.

Lions Club of Young Quilt Show

8 stalls full of materials and projects and offers of advice to assist your choices and the most beautiful quilts on display for you to enjoy. An amazing quilt is being raffled throughout the weekend. Raffles, lucky spot prize, viewers choice. Enter your quilts to win great prizes. Join a workshop with Michelle Maarvig from Robynettes. 10am - 4.30pm on Saturday the 31st of May and 10am - 3pm on Sunday the 1st of June. Official opening at 12pm on Saturday. Hilltops Council Access Committee

Hilltops Council would like to invite members of the community to nominate for the Hilltops Access Committee.

The purpose of the Committee is to:

  • provide community representation, advice and input to Council on the views, needs and interests of people with disability, their families and carers in the Hilltops Local Government Area (LGA)
  • the development, implementation and review of Council’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan
  • Assist Council to consult and respond to access issues that impact on communities across the Hilltops LGA.

Murringo Barracks Place Memory Time Exhibition

Now showing at Murringo Barracks, ‘Place Memory Time’ by Bev Moxon and Dotti Le Sage. Free admission. The gallery is open 9am to 4pm on Saturdays and 10am to 4pm on Sundays. The exhibition runs until Sunday the 15th of June.

Meals on Wheels Boorowa Meet and Eat Next Week

Lunch, games, prizes and raffles. Next week at the Boorowa Ex-Services Club at 11.30am for 12pm on Tuesday May the 20th. $15 per person (subsided) or $20 if you are not a Meals on Wheels client. Set menu 1/2 chicken schnitzel with vegetables, mash and gravy. Apple crumble and tea/coffee. RSVP date: (with payment) by Tuesday 29th April. Alternative meal available for a surcharge of $5. CanAssist Harden-Murrumburrah Raffles Drawn This Week

The CanAssist Harden Debutante Ball Raffle Bonanza will be drawn on the 16th of May. Over $10,000 in prizes.

Every dollar raised stays local to assist our community members in need of support at a difficult time in their life. Tickets are $5 or 3 for $10. The second raffle is the SSSMC camper van raffle.
