Boorowa Tennis Courts upgrade.

Four community infrastructure projects have received grant funding from the NSW Government.

The Boorowa Tennis Club Inc has been granted $150,000 to fund LED lighting. “New lights for Boorowa Tennis will include the purchase and installation of new LED poles. An important aspect of this funding is that the new hinged poles will assist with the long-term maintenance costs for the club,” Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman said.

$244,322 has been granted to deliver stage 2 of the horse event arena cover project at the Boorowa Showground. “I’m delighted to see that the NSW Government is funding Stage 2 (after also funding Stage 1 from Round 2 of the Stronger Country Communities program). Stage 2 will complete the arena and provide a valuable community asset for the Boorowa community and surrounds,” Mrs Tuckerman said.

Boorowa Cricket Club has been granted $138,031 for the upgrade of the grounds. Mrs Tuckerman said, “This funding will upgrade the existing chain wire steel fence that is currently used as a boundary fence at the cricket oval as well upgrading the single existing cricket practice wicket to incorporate three new functional practice wickets.”

Boorowa Recreation Club has received part funding for a Boorowa Miniature Golf Course. “I’m delighted that we could also support the construction of a new 18 Hole Miniature Golf Course by contributing $100,431, which is almost 50% for the entire cost to help the Boorowa Recreation Club get their idea off the ground.” The NSW Government’s total spend will be $632,784 across the four projects.
