Game Day Gala Kicks Off Youth Week

Join the Hilltops Youth Action Group and PCYC Young for a Game Day Gala and Youth Markets from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday, April 13.

It promises to be a day packed with fun and action for youngsters willing to unleash their competitive spirits.

Youths will have an opportunity to try their hands at an array of sports including basketball, netball and touch football.

It doesn’t matter whether you are a seasoned athlete or a beginner, there will be loads of fun for everyone.

The event is accessible to all participants from all capabilities. Participants are encouraged to dress up in fun and creative costumes to add to the festive atmosphere of the Game Gala Day.

Prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed teams and individuals, the most spirited chants and the ultimate champions of the day.

As well as the fun on the field, there will also be youth-run markets where youths can showcase their entrepreneurial skills and creativity. If you have a talent to share or a product to sell, register your store and be part of the vibrant marketplace.

There will be plenty of delicious food and drinks available for purchase on the day, great music and games to round the day out.

If you are a young person between the ages of 14 and 24 with ideas about how to engage your peers in the community, think about attending one of the HYAG monthly meetings.

April meetings are:

• April 9 - Young Library from 3:30 pm to 4:15 pm;
• April 10 - Harden Library from 3:30 pm to 4:15 pm; and
• April 11 - Boorowa Library from 3:30 pm to 4:15 pm.
