Get Coloured For Kiera, Lexie and Louis

A Colour Run event is being held at Murrumburrah Public School to raise funds for three families in need.

Kiera Whitehead was diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Cancer in November 2018. Kiera underwent major high-risk surgery in Melbourne in February and is still in hospital today. After recovering from surgery, she will then need to undergo radiation treatment for a period of time yet to be determined. Kiera has a long and extremely tough battle in front of her.

Louis Abnett was diagnosed with Leukaemia in February 2019 and is currently in Sydney in hospital with his Mum and Dad. He is a 5 year old little boy that had just started kindergarten at Murrumburrah Public School. Louis has 7 siblings at home being cared for by their Nan and Aunty. Louis has a big fight ahead, but has a lot of love and support to help him on his journey.

Lexie Adam was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on 21 October 2018 at Sydney Children’s Hospital after being flown in via Air Ambulance from Wagga. Lexie stayed at the Ronald McDonald House in Randwick with her Mum during her treatment. On Tuesday 26th February, beautiful Lexie passed away. She will be deeply missed by all her family, friends and the community. Lexie always had a great big smile, a happy-go-lucky-attitude and friendliest nature anyone could ever have. All those who knew her were blessed to have had her in their lives.

All funds raised will go directly to the families. Funds raised will go towards helping Kiera’s and Louis’ families with medical costs, travel expenses and other financial pressures that come with being away from home, so Kiera and Louis can be supported by their loving families. The funds will help Lexie’s family spend time together as a family while they try to cope with the loss of their beautiful daughter and sister.
